About me!

Hi! I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m Lori – planner, encourager, supporter, believer, path-maker, merrymaker, cheerleader, and notetaker. I’m married to the hardest working man in the world and we have 4 amazing grown children. In 2016 we were blessed to add another family member to our crew in the form of a talented and beautiful daughter-in-law.

I created this blog because I wanted to share some of my beliefs on the importance of encouragement in everyone’s lives. I write about inspiration and creativity, with some interruptions for things I’m excited about. I have a BA in Art History and I believe that art is a great way to examine a society’s beliefs. I also believe that creativity is needed in our lives whether your tools are paint and paintbrush or a wireless mouse and a docking station.

Working full-time outside of my house, I am the first to admit that I don’t work too much INSIDE my house! I’ve NEVER liked housework. I volunteer in my community and my church, trying to keep the love of Jesus evident in all that I do. This can be challenging but as the title of my blog shows, I believe having goals and expectations is important!

I have several hobbies that include kayaking, reading, painting, blogging, and camping. Actually I am pretty enthusiastic about trying everything!

My Web Site’s Objective:  Primarily, I want to help you bring your own creativity to your day, whether you are in your office or in your kitchen. I am not a craft or DIY blogger but instead I focus on how we need to tap into our creative selves to DO those things! My intention is to share my life: I want to share my own experiences in order to share joy or learn from others about how to get through my walk. My intention is to share in the lives of others: I want to visit with others online in order to learn from them or lift them up, or share their own joyful moments.

If I could do anything for a living, I would: So many things could fit here, but after painter or sculptor or restoration craftsperson, the top would have to be archival researcher for an Art Museum or Library.  I could spend hours researching (and writing) and never get tired.

Something my real-time grown-up friends probably don’t know about me: I LOVE Phineas and Ferb!

My online vision statement:  I exist online to make connections with other people. I exist online to lift up others.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.                                                                                    Galatians 5:22-23

I pray that your daily adventures lead you to discover: 1 Corinthians 13:13/Colossians 3:23
